A strong area of low pressure will drop into the region Sunday and persist into the middle of next week. This will bring gusty winds... much colder temperatures... and periods of rain along with high elevation snow.

West to northwest winds ahead of the system Sunday and Monday will turn to the northeast and strengthen Monday night into Tuesday. The strongest winds will be at the ridges with the potential for strong winds to surface on Lake Tahoe. THESE WINDS COULD BE STRONG ENOUGH TO CAPSIZE OR EVEN SINK MOORED BOATS ON THE WESTERN AND SOUTHERN SHORES.

I don't know why, but I love that they put the part in caps there!
