Re: Films

not neccesarily in any order (and tbh there are to many...)

but:

Shawshank Redemption (would definately be number 1 tho)
Road to Perdition
Gladiator
Superbad

i cant decide on a 5th, so ill just put a few films here which are just godly...

Persuit of Happiness
Coach Carter
Saving Private Ryan
Green Mile (undecided on whether this would reach even my top 10...but it is a very well made film, production wise etc...theres just something about it that makes me not want to watch it)

On a side note... F0xx..."Van Helsing"...are you mental??!?!? its an okay film but doesnt deserve a top 5 spot!

Re: Films

Top 5 films, that's a tough one :?

I know that my favourite film of all time is Waking Ned

After that I'd probably say HotShots 1, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Hitman, Die Hard (any of them :p)

Having said that if you asked me on another day I would probably say a different 4 to fill my top 5 (Waking Ned would always be there :p)

Many of the films posted already I love as well but I don't really have many favourites when it comes to films tbh, there are just too many that i like. Already posted i'd say Day/Night Watch standout the most for me, I accidentally stumbled across Night Watch on Film4, what a good find, absolutely brilliant series of films, can't wait for the last in the trilogy

Actually it is a tetralogy (4 films, not 3). Atleast there are 4 books.

Night watch (Nochnoy Dozor)
Day watch (Dnevnoy Dozor)
Twilight Watch (Sumerechny Dozor)
Final Watch (Posledniy Dozor)

Re: Films

Didn't know there were 4 books  Pretty sure that they're only making Twilight Watch into a film tho, dunno whether they'll bring stuff in from the other book or what, dunno why they'd make them all into films except 1 tho (having never read them I can't really say anything about the content of the books :p )

Re: Films

Fight Club, Trainspotting, Anything by Kevin Smith, Enternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Iron Man (Being as I'm a HUGE comic book fan, and this film is perfect as a comic book film... SO AWESOME), Star Wars Trilogy and prequels, The Green Mile, Hairspray.

and hundreds and hundreds of others....

Re: Films

I forgot to mention a brilliant film. 13th District (Banlieue 13). A French action. The best action I've ever whatched, having in mind the fact that I hate actions more than anything else.

Re: Films

The Return of the King
The Matrix
Star Wars V
Indiana Jones III
Alien

These are just the first five that come to my mind, but there are so many more good movies that it is hard to select only 5 of them.

I also liked:

A Knight's Tale
Lethal Weapon (all)
Terminator 2
Batman Begins
Speed
.
.
.
...etc etc etc....
