They havn't been touched since these threads.
They are seriously overpowered if you know how to use them.
I would still lobby for a slight nerf to them because they are crazy.

Few tips:

Don't just send pure CG and a few geo's to your attacks. This isn't making the most out of them.
Don't come up against shocks or hippy's. They are the weakness for them at this stage in the round.
Send plenty of geo and a few gardeners along with them.

Last round I, and 3/4 others in my alliance who went shields, were making a mockery out of everyone with our CG as we could pretty much land wherever we wanted.

well forgive me for not playing shields (and bush) for more than a few rounds but things like:

[close] 2,704,713 hostile Hippy attacked, distracting 2,001,543 allied staff.

never used to be the norm

and that was with normal gardies as well so....nerfed too much imo

I knew this would be QQing about Hippy defending CG.
CG have always sucked against stuff doing armour against them.

Guru get 1:5 on gards but barely get 1:1 on C gards.
Sleepys get 1:12-17 on gards but barely get 1:2 on C gards.
Lethal units that dont do too much armour will do 3,4,5,6,7 times less ratios on C gards than on gards.

Hippy rape CG very well.
One of the only unit in the game that does it cost effectively.

If you will go up against one of the few units in the game that are effective against it, then of course they'll seem useless. Try them in other situations.

its not a case of buffing them but i'd like some explaination on why there was a need to nerf them in the first place, they were fine. rare inn flak that would wtf pwn everything but offer little or no protection to the leth of that route, making shields a hald decent route during flak wars

they haven't been nerfed.. and they are still very powerful your just not playing them correctly.. I've seen CGs power through 1/2 an alliance worth of defense (not a very big alliance mind you..) but still.. They ARE hard to stop.

Everything's easy to take out on it's own, which is why you need to flak your CGs with gards. Still it's quite easy to stop if the alliance is otherwise unoccupied, however, in an alliance attacks they're so hard to stop most alliances just wont bother, because the effort they'll need to put in against them means they'll lose out in too many other attacks.

CG are EPIC, I only regret not going shields AGAIN this round :-/

I had more land than Leeroy (Rank 1) by the end of last round because of them...

(unfortunately, recon cheats so I didnt get rank 1 land held)
