It contains comedy too - I saw a video clip today of a witch doctor who summoned a giant frog that ate the enemies around him one by one, was hilarious

Yeah. Witch Doctor ftw. Barbarian also ftw

But yeah, I didn't mean anything personally hostile to you CF, I just see so much random negativity based upon the beta, and screenies. PLAY THE GAME. it'll make you laugh, it'll make you cry, it'll change your life.

Diablo 3 is to Diablo 2 what Starcraft 2 is to Starcraft. It's my childhood wrapped up in a shiny box, and revamped with prettier graphics epic storylines etc.

I recommend this as highly as I possibly can.

Maybe CF is looking for excuses not to play the game. It sounds like it could be very time consuming. I don't like long drawn out games with lots of side missions etc. I like linear ones. It's not that I think they aren't good games, it's just that it's so easy to spend lots of time doing pretty much nothing. Exactly why I don't play RPGs. Ditto Dimitar's post lol.

Diablo has always championed the linear play style, D3 is no exception, it just seems so smooth and seamless you would hardly notice

And I understand not wanting to get stuck in, but DAMNIT IT'S AMAZING.

I got this a week after release date, played for about 20 hours, and haven't gone back since.
Maybe it's just simply not my type of game, but to this day I don't see the point of playing the same game through 4 times. I understand that through each progressive play through the enemies get tougher and the loot better, but for what? So you can use that loot to play it through again? What's the point? It was repetitive enough the first time. It's probably the same reasons I stopped playing wow when I got to level 80, I didn't see the point of continuing after that, even though all the best content is apparently at level 80. I guess I need some sort of goal or progression, not just mindless grinding.
