Ok here is the thing, finally I have a decent PC(a laptop), I say decent because my last one had a a GeForce 64 mb, 256 mb of Ram(the worst part it was a normal PC, not even a laptop) anyways now I have a GeForce 8600 512 mb and 2 GB of ram and I need recomendation of games, not looking for any type in particulary so I´m open to all. Only 2 things to take into account,I want games I can run with what I have and must be between 1-2 months old, unluckily here in my country we are always late with all the things related to technology hehe, so if you recomend me a game that its new in your country prolly wont be here till 1-3 months and I dont wanna wait :P.

Cheers and thanks for any recomendation.

I really like Assassin's Creed and Company of Heroes, then have a look at Crysis, Bioshock, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Tiberium Wars, World in Conflict, Call of Duty 4, The Orange Box (Half Life II, Portal, Team Fortress 2), any Battlefield. Probably best is to read a review before getting it (Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/index.html?navclk=pc)). Some are a bit older, but worth a try. ;)

DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT! get Assassin's Creed for the PC. It may be barely passable as a console game, but the PC version is possibly THE worst port of a console game I have ever...EVER...had the misfortune to experience.

As for the rest of the list, they all are good choices, save COD4, which on PC is lacking too, but not in the sense of Assassin's Creed. Also Battlefield is a little old nowadays. Rainbow6 Vegas and Vegas2 are also quite good, though mainly in a Co-op. Unreal Tournament 3 too.

Bunion, I totally disagree about Assassins' Creed. I really enjoyed playing it all the way through to the end. Yes it's a shameless port, and it's balls you can't skip cinematics, but the atmosphere/feeling to it is great and the fights are awesome. Quite original aswell. Anyways, it's probably best if you try it out yourself Rama (over at a friends' or other ways). ;)

Depends what you are into... I would advise getting steam and browsing through the vast selections

Counter Strike Source is a good shooter game
Trackmania Nations is a free game from steam, if you like racing ?

Get Medieval 2 total war. SOooooooooo much fun. its a really neat strategy game that combines turn based movement across the continent, but real time strategy when you do battle.
