im getting red lights around the power button ive read forums about maybe taking it apart and fiddling myself / replacing components

anyone got any ideas what would be the best cause of action for me? im thinking maybe take it to pc world or something in hope they can fix it? or possible ring up microsoft to see what they can do :-/

the three red rings of death? i cant believe you've never heard of that/made it this long without getting them

just phone microsoft and tell them its the rings of death and they will arrange for it to be fixed, its completely free...

they will send you a label via email and you just phone up UPS and arrange a time they can come out and pick it up...usually takes about 2 weeks i believe...(although mine took over a month in the end)

i might be really buggered, on the xbox website it says its out of warranty, but.. im hoping they will still repair it as its an hardware failure and not some random failure like ive spilt coke all over the thing.

Take it back to the shop you bought it from 99% sure they will just replace it.

nah, cyrus just send it back to microsoft...its easy and free and pretty quick tbh...

dont worry about the warranty, they will replace it (like you said) cos its a hardware thing...i bought my 360 when they first came out like 3/4 years ago? and they replaced it a few months back

What is the information about? I can't read that lang :(
Also, Does the xbox console (even the elite, like my console) do this by default if there is a serious issue?

It is about different error messages flashig as differnt lighting combinations. You will surely be able to find a similar website in English. This website was just the first hit I got on google. But it does show the flashing lights, and I thought that is what you wanted to see :P

i rang em up and they have sorted everything out for me, will be fixed within 2-5 weeks i think she said. all for free
