this has happened twice now

most recently

Battle Report - Defending alliance member A
[range] 16,000,000 allied Hippy Van attacked, distracting 2 hostile staff.

Distracted: 2 [£12,000] enemies distracted.

ther were 34million extremists and 15.5 million fanatics both target let|all and not one fired
makes it look like i didnt even send them. when really i did bu they didnt fire.

and again

Battle Report - Defending alliance member b
[range] 14,000,000 allied Hippy Van attacked, distracting 1 hostile staff.

Distracted: 1 [£6,000] enemies distracted.

both times hippy vans fired first

but not only that on the first battle
Battle Report - Defending alliance member A
[range] 16,000,000 allied Hippy Van attacked, distracting 2 hostile staff.

Distracted: 2 [£12,000] enemies distracted.

i had
Target: Home
Status: Returning. ETA: 4

Hippy: 388,712 targets inn|nlt
Protestor Guru: 8,000,000 targets inn|nlt|nld
Protestor Leader: 1,000,000 targets let| nlt | nld
Loudspeaker Protestor: 2,000,000
Rebel: 20,000,000
Fanatic: 15,500,000 targets lethal | all
Hippy Van: 4,000,000
Extremist: 34,455,21 target let | all

so my extremists should have fired. then even if they messed up my fanatics should have fired. then on tp of all that if it was innocent lethal nlt or nld. my gurus or prot leaders should have fired.

none of it fired at all? not b4 the hipy vans fired. i dont under stand why. i know occasionally one man can survive out of millions a rounding error. but that same error to occur 3 times back to back maybe even 4 times if they had sent nld's/nlts.. and then have occured exactly the same the day before. is this just pure chance. or how did it happen?

if it was innocent mobs it should have been extrmeist fire, hippy fire, fanatic fire, guru fire, then hippy van

if nld prot leader fire, then extrem fire, fanatics fire, guru fire, then hippy vans

if nlt prot leader, extremists, hippy, fanatics, guru, all missed

if lethal prot leader extremist and fanatic all missed.

its just annoying it hapened twice when im sure it shouldnt happen i know it doesnt matter. and if anything makes the attackers think i always send fakes. but its just silly that i miss that many times

was it his (the attackers) ranged tick?

your tick doesnt matter, you fight his tick

As atsan-nobbe said, you fight the tick of the attacker.

Example:
Attacker - attacking for 3
Defender - defending for 1

The tick in which the battle will happen will be [range].

Also, before every unit it clearly states at what range the enemy units fire and therefore you could have made the conclusion that there is no way your enemy to fire at [range] and you to fire at [middle] or [close].
