As i was typing a post in another thread i found to my dismay that my choice words and delectable vocabulary had been altered by the dreary and steadfast computer and decided to turn my word 'b i t c h e d' into smeg-head. Really? Seems a bit odd to me ;P ***** is a word with dual purposes and whilst the word *****ed quite likely is going to be used in a negative manner (it wasn't in my post i swear, i was merely saying that i 'b i t c h e d' a lot ;)

Quod Erat Demonstrandum really there i suppose... oh well, Charlie_B will appreciate it at least :D

anywho, i'm not really griping, i just found it an odd word to censor :?

Since the latest PHPBB update yesterday (3.0.1 - thanks Weeble ;)), you can now turn off your swear filter (or should be able to - the permissions for it are still a bit odd, if you can't let me know). You should be able to do it in your user conrol panel (http://www.bushtarion.com/forums/ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=view) - under Board Preferences->Edit display options.

This isn't an allowance for anybody to start swearing their heads off in posts - people flaming, trolling, abusing, or anything else are still going to face the full wrath of moderators or myself, but it'll allow those of you who don't feel the need to have anything filtered to turn off the smegging. And if you do turn off the smegging, don't go complaining about the state of the forums when you see swearing appearing here & there ;)

the best one is the ingame filter which converts nigh****ch into nighsmegch. :)

so i turn off this smegfilter and go look for some posts which were previously "smegged". Only to find that some people actually use "smeg", "smegged" or "to be smegged" as a real sware word :?
