Bookmark Icon

This only applies to the people with no life who have a bushtarion bookmark on their mozilla browser (like me). Many sites have a neat little icon next to their link (EX: my email has a nice envelope). Azzer should make something for bushtarion, because it just shows up as another envelope. I have come here thinking i was going to check my email....SURPRISE :shock: i entered a text base online game!. This doesn't really matter to the game, but i always wondered why there wasn't like a big "B" next to the link (or something along that line). Forgive me if this topic has been brought up and shot down already. :D

i just book marked the bushtarion page on mine and it is still a blank sheet of paper :( I want that special icon!!

Yeah I added one after seeing this thread! Likewise with CLem my own PC is still showing blank, but any new computer I've tried it on it works for, so I'd say it's just a cache/temporary file issue... I haven't tried clearing all Firefox cache/history etc. yet, but I imagine doing so and restarting the browser would probably clear it and get the new icon appearing!

just ctrl + F5 bush.. it'll force FF to update the favicon pic and update all your links etc to the new one :P

No matter what I try I can't get my cute little robot to resize that small (16*16).

Anyway - if somebody wants to make a nice simple little "B" icon (or anything else that you've made from scratch and relates to Bushtarion) and post it here in this thread, I'll pick the nicest looking one and convert it to a .ico and put it up as the "favicon" file for Bush! :D

Apparently they need two sizes - a 32*32 and 16*16, but I can't see anywhere in my browsers where a 32*32 version would be displayed so just make a 16*16 one.

may have to wait for your ISP to do a cache clear, and all that sort of crap, could take a while, but it'll come :P

Ctrl & F5 didn't work for me, I think Firefox has a special exception for favicons. What I did do was close all Bush pages, and delete it from my "quick-bookmarks bar" (the bar along the top of the page with all your favourite bookmarks) - deleted that one as that probably caches the image too. Then I did a Tools->Clear private data, and just left "Cache" ticked. Cleared that, closed the browse, re-opened the browser, went to Bushtarion main page, waited a few moments after the page loaded and the icon appeared. Re-added it to the top bar and the icon didn't appear there immediately until I clicked on it (thus re-loading the page), then the favicon appeared in the top bar too!

A fair bit of hassle I must say, and not sure why some of us have to do that while others don't... and I have to go through that each time I change the favicon to see the updates. Anyway try all that CLem you'll get it working I hope, though nothing too great at the moment, until people come up with some nice 16*16 icons for me :D

Did we not have a blue B in a box before? Or was that just for the forums? I remember seeing it once :) but that icon also sucked, the little robot sucks also :(

TehPantz, If I'm honest, I don't like either one of those, I think the B should be blue, with anything around it, atleast then it'll be readable !
