View Full Version : Bring Law/Fame back?
Let me split the Bush Players into 3 groups to demonstrate the uselessness of removing Law/Fame
Big, Medium, and Small
Big are those top players who sit there with giant bounties on their heads.
They are all credit buyers, and use some bribing route to amass a whole lot of units.
They attack people from Medium, who are around 30-40% of their size.
Medium are those players who decently try to keep a good Law/Fame score.
They normally do not buy credits, and are either solo or in the smaller alliances.
Small people are just small.
So, with the Law/Fame,
Big people attack medium and get giant bounties on their heads.
Medium people attack other medium people
Small people fight among themselves.
Without L/F,
Big people attack medium and don't get giant bounties on their heads.
Medium people attack small people.
Small people get raped.
It is clear that the removal of L/F has only benefited those which need help least, and it is more difficult for the smaller players to play the game.

I disagree with nearly every point you made, except your main one. L/F, for all its flaws, was inherently a pretty good system.

Your post is inheritantly flawed with your assumption on who does and doesn't buy credits.
I'd vote the middle and bottom players, buy more credits than the top, but anyway, back to point.
L/F was a very flawed system, forcing people to attack a way they did not want to. forcing people is not the way to go, gentle nudging is.

Qft :)

L/f never forced somebody to attack one way or another. In fact many who had bounties on their had simply ignored it and attacked as low as they wanted. It also gave a small aim for those who just don't see a reason to push for rank 12 and just finish 18 in valuation or other things like that. A game where all you do is play for size it's imho old fashioned.
It's true many players stoped themselfs from sending on much smaller targets or resend on same target several times as it looks a common practice this round, but that's debatable if it was better or not.
Small ppl buy credits ---> Get more money ---> Become bigger.
And the top few ranks buy more credits. Go Haxor the top ten and tell me how many of them don't.

lol you don't need to buy game cash when you are top unless you want your p-unit. Many people had been rank 1 without having spent a penny *blushes* the top 2 people makes NEARLY a trillion per day so why bother getting game cash:P

Ofcourse we buy credits for our p-units.
Hehe, when I was new I thought that the top people spend huge ammounts of money for game cash...
Now let me show you something....

Do you really think its worth giving 21 credits when you know my income?
Also, in my country 21 english pounds are 20% of what is a normal job salary... open your eyes and use your brain... its stupid to say that the top are buying game cash...

Edited to avoid being accused of flaming and replaced with a suggestion.
Don't attack people for:
1) Where they live or 2) english not being their first language.
Those things are not down to choice.
Being an arrogant muppet and thinking it's big to score points on the above IS your choice.
Small ppl buy credits ---> Get more money ---> Become bigger.
And the top few ranks buy more credits. Go Haxor the top ten and tell me how many of them don't.
Top few ranks only buy credit for punit, small people as you suggest, buy credit for p-unit AND to get more game cash. So hmm how does the top few ranks buy more credits??

Man honestly i thought law and fame made the game good because you knew who wasn't a prick raping the crap outta smaller players :D
But it made the game more enjoyful, like if its removed then why is half the stuff explaining it still there??
You may aswell re-add it and leave it :)
It was a great thing, gave the game a touch more colour lolz

I must admit that the enemies system doesn't work much at all later in the game - the only people on there are the ones who have zeroed you, and late in game this is almost always the counter route. In flak wars it is a bit of fun since a PB who happened to have zeroed a robo in early techs can now get his commupence, but once the routes are set in place and fully teched it is esentially useless. Either make it so you can get some sort of revenge against even your counter route when they are your enemy, or bring back bounty hunting. At least with bountying, if someone was bashing you at 40% all day long and you couldnt do anything about it there was a strong probability that someone else could take revenge for you.
Now there is also no reason whatsoever to not attack at 40% if possible! Sure you get 5% less land, but you can send out 2 attacks at a time. You get less injury returns on lower hits, but you take far fewer losses (if any at all) and it works out to be more economical to bash at 30-50% all round where possible.
I'm sorry but the current system is not having its desired effect. Enemy system is nigh on pointless later on in the round, and the land caps / lower injury rates for attacking at lower scores are not severe enough to put people off it. Somthing really needs to change.

Agreed with the post above.. Ive been zero'd before well not fully but yeah.. the odds of me actually claiming revenge are basically impossible unless i do a suicidal run which won't achieve much lolz...
IdK but the old system was just...... lets say good and unique :)
