Admit it, we all make mistakes :P So here's the question - what are you funniest mistakes?

I'll try and start the ball rolling with a quote from one of my alliance members and friends (he wasn't joking :P)-

More than once, getting incoming while online and totally forgetting to move my men out (made me miss out on portal in round 9 :p)
Sending to attack without geos - accidentally

Triggering AR, spying, forgetting to recall

And probably many more that just don't come to mind right now!

Last round near the end I went to sell some amount of plants, maybe 150m or so, but accidentally put it in the buy box :shock:

Round 20, with moRdan and Scream (before we merged in Guernica) I led 18 members into SAS on the 8th day of the round. We had spies at this point, but when I spied there were litterally 900 new news on this tick and I didn't search for government, so we lost 1.7 tril worth of troops fighting a guy who had just become solo after leaving his ally no more than 6 and a half hours before. Now, 1.7 tril worth of troops doesn't sound like a huge loss between 18 people, but this was the second Saturday of the round. We lost about 60% of our lethals due to my brilliance as a MO. :P

But the worst thing I've done is suicide 80mil TLs in three attacks...on the same person. I set off AR every time...and EVERY time forgot to spy and recall....ugh...made me sad..

Back in the day, if you put an A into the buy box on Supplies it would spend all your funds on that Plants... I did it once, but made out quite lightly, online losing around a tril funds, Sordes howevere (Hope he doesn't mind me posting it here for him) Lost around 5tril funds once... Just because of a single Charecter in the wrong box...

Killing myself round after round after round after round by working out defence incorrectly...

Going on attacks with Athena,
Infact... going on attacks with anyone... i always seem to die.

Probably my best mistake was not refreshing for 6 ticks (just cause I didn't think anyone would be attacking me) to find that I had been beset by a vamp and robo player.... that range tick killed me. Taught me to refresh.

Obviously I've done the usual ones like too many zeroes on the hiring page...forgetting to recall, buying the wrong units etc.

I remember in the days before the journal, I sent mails to myself if I needed to make note of something - I'd often use it to keep note of potential future targets or people who were generally annoying ****s and deserved a raping. However on more then one occasion I'd type the potential target ID into the wrong box and mail him that I wanted to attack him or that he was an annoying ****. Kinda ruined the element of surprise :P

Being under heavy attack, as was my alliance.

At AF3 I had all 5 mobs out (including evacuated mobs), so was all set just to lose some land and last tick the second wave. Then I realised I had some funds and could help out another alliance mate under attack. Bought up, couldn't send to defend, as all mobs were out. Lost quite a few troops. :(

Similar to Meneldil...In r23, SotB were being resisted against. We split the real def between CZ and myself as I thought we easily had enough troops to cover us. At attacking for 3, I had 5 mobs out, 3 fake defences, 1 real defence and my flak going towards ID 1. I had half my poms home (which I'd only finished about 2 hours before). The real ended up all being at me and we got raped, so everyone recalled. I go to send out and realised I couldn't...yet I still had a bunch of poms left at home. Had to spend a tick fighting like 30 people on my own. :(

Also in that round, Hobo kept trying to rush me with TLs to kill my Hypnos. I wanted to spend all my funds (5tril or so) on poms and retal him but ended up sticking the "a" in the Hypno box. Ended up with 70mil Hypnos and 25mil poms. I did have more LET than anyone else in the alliance though. :D

decided to help dad fix the roof one day. just got rangers so i was enjoying the idea of killing. well i am not to fond of heights and the ladder was dodgy for one person. sent an attack with the rangers and was stuck on the roof at att3. outcome - zeroed badly and land raped.

logging on to see that i had news, checked it and it showed that sum tl's had just zeroed me. loosing over 1.5 tril in troops. thinking that the news was hours old i spent all my insurance money on new troops. the tick rolled over and i didnt notice that the attacker was STILL there, so attacking for 2 came around and all my troops died again. i had a big bounty on me at the time also.
that tl was very lucky and i was very pissed :P

I had forgotten another ace story.

In r19, I went RPGs. I was constantly being last ticked by people so I started attacking with alliance mates following a tick behind. I had nearly 19k acres in a pretty bad alliance (Crazy_Diamonds - we weren't bad, but we were pretty damn inactive and totally uncontactable) and I was sending on a solo target that I'd been after for close to a week. The first tick went amazing, I did something close to 2.7 trillion worth of damages and took only about 200 billion, but my alliance mates showed up the next tick and AR came. Now, being the genius I am, I have them recall, thinking the AR will recall since the people who set it off also recalled. Next tick comes, the AR was still there and I lost 5 trillion worth of troops. I immediately logged off and went to sleep. I woke up the next morning with about 3k acres and 740 news.

When ViVi/George last player he had about 80mil TL's and about 300 land, BAsically his army was bigger than most the top 20's and his allie was pretty much untouchable with his army, he stealth rushed me every night for about 2 weeks and i woke up every night to send out but 1 night i woke up and decided to start talking to him, told all the defense to recall and then spent so much time talking to him i died as i forgot to recall There went 2trills worth of troops :(

Happened again against SexMagic, sent a hit on em, told them i was recalling as it was on LightSeeker and me nad him got to talking on MSN and i forgot to recall, there went 1.8trill's worth of troops :(

erm, i got hit hard during the night and my alliance sent more than enough troops to beat the incoming hostile nad they phoned me up said do i wanna defend or just send out nad block last tick with Guru's. at the time i was leaned up against a ampost in town with 50p and mayo all down my top from my chips. i said dont worry i'll be home in 5 mins i will send out, forgot i was in middle of town passed out on train bench and they recalled defense and i died :P Always fun.

and my Favourite of alltime, Round 11 :D Attacking an alliance for some fun sent about 300mil SA's at em and i meant to recall as i thoguht i would die(SCORE QUEEN! SCORE QUEEN!) but forgot and i never knew this but there alliance was mainly RPG and TL players so i ended up wiping out there entire alliance in 1 hit, they dropped from rank 5(Top 4 were allied) to just outside the top 20 in 1 tick :D

OMG I remember that! That was aaages back, round 13 or 14 I think.You simply spent your stockpile too early. We weren't even in the same alliance but I just remember that ID getting raped in the last few hours of the round. Unlucky :P

Hmm...where to start.

Firstly: seeing I had one mil inc yesterday, having a good laugh at teh noob, logging off and getting wiped by PoBs and losing land.

Secondly: in round 23 with LO we were getting massed by Penthouse (I think). I sent all 5 of my mobs out to defend. Then I got about 8 incomings from SOTB. I lost all my men at home 'cause I couldn't send out, lost about 5k of my 7k acres, and to really drive it home I lost all the troops I had sent out to defend other people.

Thirdly: also in round 23 I think. I had been saving my seeds for about 4 days to start TLs, and went to grow them in early hours. Realised when I went to sell them the next tick that I had sold my seeds instead of planting them. Took me a few days to recover from that one.

Fourthly: Getting rather drunk and telling Bindhi to defend against apaches with TLs (Round 23 again :?). Kind of went something like this:

Bindhi: "What should I send to defend?"
Me: "TLs"
Bindhi: "Don't apaches rape TLs?"
Me: "Naaaaaaah. TLs are great."
Bindhi: "But I'm striker."
Me: "Send TLs anyway."

The first one was something around 17m, which I killed them all by myself, and then there was another one where me and Quitus did huge damage, but somehow your measly TLs fired on them as well...

i think there was an allaince called antipode a few rounds back. i was nothing to do with it. i was in another allaince. new to irc no clue what i was doing. just about managed to work out how to change my name.

anyway suddenly irc filled with bots. called things like antipo1386 etc

so i thought it would be funny to call myself antipo1337. as there was none called that. when they g lined the bots or whatever they do, all those users with the starting name "antipo" got g-lined. so they g-lined me too.

thinking nothing of it just they made a mistake, i left for karate.

came back 2 or so hours after. azzer thought it was me who was using the bots to spam. so he sent at me. and every one must have been told to because everyone in irc followed. thinking it was me. little did they know even if i wanted to i wouldnt know how.

anyway i got totally killed by azzer than land raped by every irc person that felt like it. and my allaince leader wasnt to impressed. lol



my next biggest bush mistake was on irc too. a bit after this last one. charlie b was talking to me so i was chatting back. but i didnt know he was noticing me, because i didint know what noticing was. so i didnt realise it looked like i was speaking to myself in irc.

he found it rather amusing.

also the donations tab i double clicked so instead of writing over the "0" value with the amount i wanted to donate i added the 0 to the end of the amount i was donating. losing all my research savings. i was gutted.

For me it was probably setting up a wave that I was leading with my TLs, I zeroed the guy my first tick, next tick someone else shows up, triggers SAS(I was sure he was allied too), I thought if he recalled SAS would recall, I was corrected, the hard way :/

you never use to have the limit of buying 150 at a time. i dont know which round the limit was bought in think quite early like 10-13ish

but i rmeber making a similar mistake. not to the same extent. 1000 instead of 100..

trust me b4 azzer changed it im 100% sure you could order as many as you liked....goodbye funds

must have been in round 12 or so indeed. Has been changed later on. And no it wasnt id 8888 those id's didnt exist at the time so it must have been around 2500, still a lot to lose funds wise :<

about 3 days ago while searching for targets...i go through my search page and hack/spy all the results and as i cross of the ones i dont want to hit i add them to the "not id" box (as im sure most people do...)

well i hacked 1 target, went to put the id in the "not id" box but accidentily put it in the id box...then refreshed...and sat for a good few minutes thinking how amazing it was that i only have 1 target in my 40-45% range...

oh and some time this week also, going to the military page "sending an attack" and then a couple of ticks later finding the attack was never sent because i forgot to input the number of troops sent...i had literally gone on to military...put in the id and pressed send...

yeah done this, but whats worse, i did it on the old system when you get no men returned to you. and on the attacking for 1 tick

so the target was to small to resend to and alot of my flack died for nothing! sometimes you learn the hard way

Just came back from holiday and stole some acres. Wanted to grow some seeds from my huge holiday-pile so I would be able to plant the acres I stole. Instead of growing a few mil I accidentally pushed 'grow all'...

Trying to save my seeds, I sent away my tractors with my gardeners returning from the attack. When my gardeners were back from the attack (5 ticks later) I wanted to send them away as well and notice that I didn't send away my tractors, but my combines.

Playing the early round wars, back in the day with Welshies group, and was doing alright. Wasn't going to win, as TGA took the lead, but was set to hold a high rank 2 place. Planning defence, won the first two battles they sent, kicked some ass. Got abit cocky, told the whole alliance to stay and defend, forgetting to mention TGA bought another 4 members with them, rank 1+2, got absolutely mulled, sent the alliance 4 ranks down, and sleep moded :S

Ended up being more than a second spent back there. Came back. Seen the BR... found out I bought Terrorists.. attacked the wrong target.. triggered SAS on a person that was slightly larger than I was.. wasted 780b and a condom. </3;

Biggest regret of the whole ordeal...





The condom, because it was the last one, and I needed something to cheer me up after that. However.. she was not up for the idea without protection. So.. went to get some.. and bought the wrong kind.

Being a guy and wanting it + Sexual frustration + Laptop + Bush = 780b wasted funds, 60 days of my life wasted, fifteen bucks gone, a new laptop needed.. single and looking ;]

I'm a waiter in a restaurant for those of you who don't know.

Okay, so, I'm serving a table last night of 3 people: a daughter (about 32 ish) and her parents, around 55-60 or thereabouts. Anywho, the daughter comes up to me before the meal has even started, secretly out of sight of her parents, and gives me her credit card so she can pay for the meal because as she explained to me, they always fight about the bill, her parents and her, and she is never allowed to pay so this time she was going to show them. Or that's what she thought.

So she has given me her credit card, and the meal runs incredibly smoothly, i'm charming, they laugh, they love me. **** me i'm a good waiter ;) but i digress. So everything is going swimmingly, wine recommendation was bang on and they are just happy as little clams. or big clams. **** 'em they're clams.

So dessert comes through, they have desserts coffee blah blah the whole works. Service is, exceptional as usual ;)

Then, the big moment, when i am to arrive presenting the already paid for bill. but wait, no, what have i done?!

I have completely forgotten about the entire plan and instead present her father with the bill. I was surprised it took me a whole nanosecond to realize what i'd done but instantly was rooted to the spot and my whole brain was just screaming "oh you idiot, you ****ing idiot" :P...

So, the entire night, i had one unusual/extraordinary/important task to perform and i managed to blow it in a spectacular manner. The daughter was upset to say the least, i was literally forced, to return her credit card to her by her parents at the table. It was wild, i've never seen such a fight over a bill, ever.

That part of the service wasn't so splendid :(

On the upside, i knew either one of them was going to tip me well since they would both be pleased they got the bill. 20% tips ftw ;)
