Insomn's 60 Man P-World

Im looking at creating a 60 man p-world over 3 weeks.

Settings*

Ticks will be 10 minutes
Starting cash: 1,000,000,000,000
Starting land: 5,000
Dev Mod: 1
Dev Cost: 25% of normal price
Dev Time: 25% of normal price
Sleep mode will be dissabled
1 restart will be permited per account
AR and solo partenrs are dissabled
Base bounty 25%
Base Insurance 50%

*Settings may change slightly

Basically i want 6 10 man alliances, i want 6 people to come forward to lead the alliances and the rest of the alliance will be filled by the 6 leaders picking one at a time untill the list is empty :)

I you could post your interest here as soon as possible and if your interested in leading please also state this.


I would like all alliances to be public and all accounts to be public also.

I aim to start the p-world on sunday the 16th May at around 18:00 GMT (In time for the end of Exam week)

(The P world will be made on thursday 13th for leaders to get in and create the alliances)

idd, when the world is full i will have an acurate list of each player and can then get the leaders together (Hopefully on sat night) to start selecting, once they have selected i can mail each IOD in the world and tell them where to apply :)

Definitely agreed. With a 3 week round with starting land of 5k. WAYYYY lower. Will be alot more fun if the starting cash is very low. Like 1b or something. Or have lower land and a bit more cash. But not both.

and on the matter of you are on the list but not entered the game: this pw was joinable for a good 24hrs i think, so if youre not going to log in for a whole day, what chances do you think you get in the pw anyways?

I have been active over the last few days, logging on regularly. However, I was unaware that I had to keep rechecking this forum thread regularly for a PW that was days away. I assumed that as people were asked to sign up then the pass would be sent to registered members rather than posted publicly. That was my mistake, and probably my own fault for assuming.

Im not criticising Insom here, he has done nothing wrong, just hasnt worked out the way I was expecting

If someone is kindly paying for a PW and letting me play for free, I take it as given that I should try and stay up to date with what's happening, rather than thinking that if I've mentioned at some point I'd like to play then I have a god-given right to an ID.

Insomn made it quite clear that he wanted to get this going asap and to pick the teams on saturday, and to do that he would need the world full by then. I consider it courteous to get into the world asap so that the guy who is kindly paying for it can get things organised.

I consider it rude to assume you're going to get a place even if you turn up late, that everyone else should wait for you, that people who *did* turn up on time should be kicked out for you, that everyone else should pander to *your* wants despite you not doing what the world host asked, and then having a go at the host who was going to let you play for FREE.

It's quite understandable that Insomn, seeing the world wasn't filling up, got whoever he reasonably could in, so that he could be sure of starting on time. If you were one of the ones who didn't turn up until the last second, then you are one of the ones responsible.

Nah i dont think it should be enough to start devs and have 5k land. Dev costs are already lowered. Starting funds (IMO ofc) should just be enough to get some harvs and then you use your seeds to dev/buy troops etc.

I'd be up for a way lower acre count and tiny starting funds tbh, as 3 weeks is a LONG time. Think about rounds which have been basically won in less time from a W1 start.

I consider it rude to assume you're going to get a place even if you turn up late, that everyone else should wait for you, that people who *did* turn up on time should be kicked out for you, that everyone else should pander to *your* wants despite you not doing what the world host asked, and then having a go at the host who was going to let you play for FREE.

It's quite understandable that Insomn, seeing the world wasn't filling up, got whoever he reasonably could in, so that he could be sure of starting on time. If you were one of the ones who didn't turn up until the last second, then you are one of the ones responsible.

Apologies to my alliance - I'm throwing in the towel. I've been on every tick since the start and have had 3 guys playing reliably - TAP had 19 incs when I hit delete, few guys had inc from 3 alliances on the same tick. Public alliances pretty much ruined it for us.

I think the problem lies more along the lines of needing some sort of land farm for progression. Your alliance happened to be the weakest link, so you became the land farm for all the others. That's the explanation, take it or leave it I guess?

True, private alliances would of allowed this - Though PW's are renowned for not being the norm of Bushtarion. PW are far more feral than W1, due to the far fewer players, available land, and bots. Because the bottom need their acres from somewhere too.

Also, people just plain don't care so much about their ranks in private worlds as they don't go on for as long as W1, so there's less scorequeening and general faggotry.

Personally i think Havoc is lame - that is a personal taste thing not an insult to those who enjoy it. So i will not be rejoining the world once it is reset. So i thank Insom for hosting what i found to be delightful few days of Bush.

Have you thought of removing the recall button on attacks? I've noticed that most players recall 9 in 10 attacks when they spy defence on there targets. When you are down to 30 active players that makes a dull time.

tbh i think most people would be to scared to attack if there was no recalls. or they would mass one id at a time. but probably get retalled. its not like you would fake very often if you cant recall your flak and it dies. could make it even more stale!!!

i wouldnt mind a restart to fill the world back up with targets. though would like to see one clear winner in the aliiances that remain.

so for me just my personal opinion/preference, not so much a havoc. more a restart with a few tweaks.

i like the idea of massive bounties. and maybe some function of being able to multi tree. so you could have some more tactics.

i like the open tech tree concept something like being able to have 10-12 techs or similar. so the player can decide do they want to tech half of two routes. or one whole route with seedthiefs, plant thiefs, laundereds etc and have very hard to stop layered flak for easy land grabs. or go one full route then throw in a reasonable flak stopper or two like guru or sd's.

but im not sure id like a fully open tech system where the player can have what ever they like as that would be like whats the point of allies if that were possible.

slo time constraints i was thinking even quicker devs, with maybe more start cash or more land for ease of deving

Its been a great PW- Its just too bad that land is so hard to steal- sort of causing a deadlock. I agree with Capt, 5 man alliances would have created more wars. It would have caused insane activity though...even with 10 people, we go nuts! It was fun to see the first 3 alliances going down (sorry...)...I just want more:P
