People lose touch with reality. Lose interest in the game. Get older. The main age of the playerbase stays the same.
It's time to stop holding on to stale attitudes and hardened minds. I think every 1-2 years, new mods/ops should be sought out and utilized.
No - I don't want to be one.
No - I'm not even in the IRC channel.
No - I've not been banned.
No - I'm not playing next round or possibly ever again (and No - not because of this issue. 4-5 years of playing is enough I think)
No - Other than polite warnings (which I deserved on the RARE occasions I received them, and probably a couple times in which I never did get one but should have) I've never really had an run in or issue with mods/ops. Friends with a couple even.
Over the years I've seen people marginalized because of their complaints being similar to those culprits and pot stirrers that are really offensive. Sometimes (altho VERY rare) people who are habitual baddies have legitimate complaints that go unheard or don't get the attention it should.
Everyone deserves a chance at starting over (sometimes 3 or 4 or 100) and while knowing patterns of some people is indeed useful, rotating mods and getting fresh talent will keep responses fresh. Points of view fresh. Keep the playerbase growing.
The current mods/ops aren't becoming better with time. They are becoming more inflexible and more selective on when they decide to enforce rules.
This rotation/infusion of new talent should happen so Bush as a community has a chance to grow. Strong communities help build strong playerbases.
