In irc rules theres following section:
2. Language
2.1 Using profanity (swearing), whether directly aimed towards other users or not, is not allowed.
Now i could post here hundreds of quit messages where people use more than just bit colourfull language and as such i must ask why arnt such people whom clearly are knowingly breaking that rule time after time told to stop it and eventually be punished of it?
As i have understood theres reason for why that rule exists and as such i cant see difference how those words are put on that channel.
Care to enlighten me OPs?

Well, having just skimmed through about 20 - 30 of the most recent quit messages on #bushtarion, I've failed to see any containing language that wouldn't be acceptable in the channel.
This said, I know some exist. Generally, when a quit message is of a profane nature, I will try and remind that user to change it. However, because of what quit messages are (i.e. shown once they've quit), it's not always immediately possible. Those I see with especially rude messages I make a note of talking to, or if done deliberately inflammatorarily, slap a P-ban on them immediately. But that is a somewhat draconian measure for a minor infringement, so I am generally loathe to do so.
I'm slightly bemused by this whole thread, really. If you genuinely want to see more action taken on the matter, then ask the ops to do so, perhaps with logs of people to ask. However, personally I've not seen any quit messages to take issue with recently.

Try watching some OP messages... at least thats what got my attention in first place and i bet its still there. If you read my message you can see that im actually asking what is juridication about this matter.
As iv seen bans for swearing but your allowed to swear in quit messages sounds bit weird to me. So thats why this is in help section. I want to hear what has been told to OPs about that and what is offical statement about it.

Blackwolf, it'd be more effective if you PMed an op on IRC with any offending quit messages, rather than making vague accusations on the forums (which not all ops necessarily read..). If it's an op, the quickest way to see action will be to PM that inidivual op.
People can be banned (and have been) if quits are excessivly over the top, but that is a last resort, as Mene said.

Try re-reading Mene's post? If you see people with quit messages that you think would see that member warned or more if said in the channel, PM any active ops.

I have no grudges against anyone i wanted to ask what are rules saying about quit messages nothing else. If i would have something against someone ofc i would PM soe OP or that person.

my post in this thread was deleted so i will try and rephrase it to be slightly more friendly, as i am actually curious to find out...
Blackwolf...Why do you care? I dont know exactly how old you are but i know you are older than me, so i fail to see how peoples quit messages could offend you...im sure you are mature enough to just ignore a quit message if it has swearing in it????
Are you just trying to stir things up and cause trouble?

Blackwolf doesn't need to be offended to ask for a clarification of the rules, Pinpower.
His query has been answered, and it looks very much like any future posts will join the number that have already been removed.
