I'm playing GH3, just beat Knights of Cydonia on hard (brutal!), now I get the privilege of getting my ass toasted by Slayer and Metallica :P

Anyone else play?

Bought the game, played the entire thing on hard, EXCEPT "Raining Blood" by Slayer. Dam them and their last song set! I have now moved onto Rock Band, but I still pull GH 2 and 3 now and then for some good wannabe shredding fun :o

BUT it is horrendously addictive and fun to play lol. Ive had GH3 for a while but just the game, no guitar. But i won one on ebay a few days ago so should be getting that sometime soon so i can pull off some face melting riffs and such :P

No freaking kidding. That song is damn evil. I'm at that set now, and that's going to be the last one I go at. The Metallica one will be nasty too I'm sure, but all the non-Slayer ones should be beatable. But Raining Blood... :whipped:

Raining Blood is an absolute mission of a song, altho all the songs are easy in comparison to that Dragonforce song (through the fire and the flames) thats on there :P

My housemate bought it as soon as it came out on November and I play like 2hrs a day since :P I've done all of hard (including Raining blood, ***** song!, and Dragonforce) except the devil battle which is annoying, and all of expert except Raining blood (even more of a *****) and devil battle. Just did Number of the beast on expert for the first time today, mmm :)

but the game interface just doesn't look as good as GH3

I'm slowly working my way through on easy, I find it pretty difficult to be honest (I don't really have much of a sense of rhythm which I know helps a great deal for games like this!). I did manage to get my first "Perfect" (on "Paint it black", the GH3 title song!), which was a pleasing moment. You'd think having long hair would automatically make me good at this, but alas spending my time as a programmer listening to chillout and ambient music has removed any rock from me ;)

i cant beat lou on expert. the ***** keeps getting lefty flip on me. im considering a mirror to counteract it but it takes the fun away. but man its hard. they really amped up the difficulty on this one. my guitar has broken once. had to have it fixed from playing lots.

I've abused my guitar so much and it still hasn't broken, wtf were you doing to yours? :P

If you're having trouble with Lou, wait until you get Whammy as your first powerup, then launch it when he gets his long string of green notes. Lefty Flip is probably the lightest powerup he can get as a first, other than Whammy. :P

I've only played GH3, im on Hard atm, managed to do Iron maiden last night, but slayer and metallica, are breaking my balls :( I can just get past the solo at about 80% on metallica, then the next bit, but the bit after that, is gonna take a bit o' practice i think.

Only bought Guitar Hero III last week with two Guitars (Had a free £50 Amazon voucher and nothing in particular to spend it on)

Got to say I'm loving it! :D
Although took ages to get the hang of it, and at the moment I can't play for more than an hour before my left wrist starts to ache... but that should go before too long... muscles that have never been used... etc...

Still working my way through the joint career with the missus on easy, getting there slowly but surely!

Hate to dig up old threads but I'd just like you all to know, I just completed Raining Blood on expert and the subsequent guitar battle with the Devil, in one mad sesh. Therefore, I am now officially a fagggggggggg, having completed the game! :D

Beat 1, 2 and rock the 80's on extreme. I've played the 3rd one but have yet to buy it for myself. ;_;

So I usually just go to hmv and play their demo version for a couple hours, pwn all who challenge me. <_<

I play GH1, 2 and sometime 3...i can expert GH2 easy then i tried 'fury of the storm' - dragon force and got 35% first try hehe Beat that. 8)
