To put markb's words in other bit more understandable way.
I dont have a clue what kind of game your talking about, but most likely game like bushtarion. Markets are really tight, competition is huge and others have years of more knownledge etc.
Then theres things like servers etc you must be able to invest to etc.
If you honestly want to think about something like this you might be better off if you find me in IRC and i can talk some sense to you...

Yeah, jumping straight into a full fledged game with no coding experiance is daft.

Work up a few language first, make some silly applications, work on both Database/application/web languages...

in 2-10 years you might be reading to code a game...

I suggest you start by learning Visual Basic 6.0. Yes, hopelessly out of date, but.. It's easy, and can give you a good start into procedural and object orientated programming, then look at SQL, definatly the best database language there is..

After that you can move onto PHP for you web based languages, but you'll need to know HTML, CSS and possibly some Javascript too, while having a good idea about internet infrastructure..

For applications I'd suggest C# or Java...

all the while learning more about the various SQL flavours (MySQL would be a good one if you learn PHP, and Transact-SQL is nice and powerful)...

All this will take probs at least a year just to get a good base and grounding if you have no programming experience, and if you have any, well, you would know all this already.

I went through the same phase you went through heath, and if unless you seriously plan on investing time and money there is no way to set up a game. If you plan on making a career out of it, then you need to do what Bobbin suggested. There are plenty of help websites out there, or you can pick up a few books. I don't mean to discourage you, but I have looked into it myself, and if you dont know any languages then you need to work on those before you think of starting up a game.

Read what others have said, go from there.. it's the only way you'll be of any success.

http://www.php.net/
http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp
http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp
http://www.w3schools.com/sql/default.asp

Take a read through those, or go buy a book, take a long read, practice somewhere, get used to the basics before jumping into the deep end.

People have given you advice of which languages to start with, and even websites which will help you to learn them.

What more do you want? If you expect someone to just make a game for you, and then give you the code, I think you're going to be a little disappointed. Coding is hard work, and it'll take a long time for you to get any sort of game going, but if you ever do, it'll be because you were committed and spent as much time learning as you could...There's little point someone saying "This is how you..." when all of the information is available on the internet (Much of it on the websites that Nightmare has already linked you to).

If your posts on this thread are anything to go by, you should probably just not bother.

I think u need MySQL.
But i would try some package, its much easyier for beginning.
http://www.wampserver.com/en/ is an Apache, Mysql, PHP package for Windows.
After you installed it should be allready configured and u can start :)
good luck

I really wouldn't advise that! You'll be writing for years just for the one damn page!
