I'm pretty sure they can, from what i've heard from azzer all units you have on your Hiring page can in fact be "injured" thus having the ability to return home over time :)

That's good to know, after all the hard-fought hours of bribing, it'd be a shame to see them unaffected by the injury system.
Thinking about it, did you get insurance from bribed troops getting killed in age 4?

Yes, Matt.

Thanks, Darryl. I've not thought about it till now, but it would have made sense if they didn't give insurance.
So if your units get bribed... they do not get injury? isn't that just overpowering the Puppet Master route just a "tad"?

I believe that you're confusing two different questions.
What this topic is asking (I hope, or it's me that is confused) is whether units, which I bribe can then be injured when they are attacked (When they already belong to me), or whether they'll all just die -- So he's basically asking if the only units to be injured are those that a person buys for themself. The answer to this seems to be that bribed units should be able to be injured, based upon insurance in past rounds, as well as common sense - Why shouldn't they be?
However, what you seem to be asking, I think, is if someone attacks me with puppets and bribes my units, will I get some back due to the injury system. I think the answer to this is no; it'd be creating units out of nowhere, really. Does this mean that puppets are imbalanced? Not really; it means that bribing is the only way to reduce someone's army without injury kicking in, but this doesn't strengthen the puppet route, as such, it just means they're the best for this purpose, but it won't be exploited much due to it being so hard to attack with puppets. Few people will attack with puppets just to stop people making use of the injury system.

To clarify matters, Darryl understood my question right :x-mas:
Ya, okay let me try to reword and clarify my question. (I'm actually asking a completely different question.)
According to the new rules, Only KILLED units can be injured so what happens to Bribed units? Would they just all die?

Sorry for the misunderstanding!
Only Azzer can really answer it, as the portal overview of the system doesn't go into quite this much depth, however, I don't think any bribed units can be "injured", as it just doesn't make any sense.
With killed units, some aren't killed, but injured, so they go away to their little Bushtarion hospital, and come back a few hours later, but when units are bribed, all of the units go directly to the player who bribed them; where would these "injured" units come from?
That's what I was wondering too. Technically, if they die then they can't be injured they are just dead anyways :P
So my point is IF bribed units don't get injured they don't Puppetmasters get just a bit of an advantage?

the bribing is the same as last round, so far as i understand, eg:
I steal men from u, I keep them just like before
which means they are no longer urs and so u cannot gain the advantage of them "comming back to life" (as is the point of the injury-recovery sytem)
but as for any unit u have brbed with ur bribers they can still be killed/injured and wil come back to life.
the sytem does nothing advantageous to Puppetmaster routes, it just makes it disadvantageous to be HIT by a briber as when ur units are bribed u dont get them back from injury cos they're not ur men to come back to u. like darryl said, that'd just be creating units out of thin air "technically"

Indeed, just a bit. Not may players have serious amounts of puppetmasters tho :P
Beg the same question about converted units. I'd presume that if you convert some units the others can still be injured?

Bribed units aren't being killed, they are just transferring ownership from one player to another. So they can't be injured, as that would mean making two copies of the same unit (one for the briber, one for the victim getting them injured). Bribing never gave insurance for bribed units before the changes either.
At the moment, conversion gives no injuries, but as conversion is a mix of bribery and killing, I will be looking in to "partial injuries" for conversions soon.

from the manual:
The cloner will attempt to duplicate the enemy by utilising gene-splicing technology. Unfortunately for the victim, while the cloning is often successful, the original subject is always killed in the process.
u shud get injuries from this since the cloners actually DO create units out of thin air, just the originals get killed. although this is the only bribing unit that does this and i think it would probably be too complicated to make it so that being hit by cloners gives injuries and other briber doesnt but still. just pointing it out...

It's just a unit description. The actual thing they do is "Bribe" - like all other "Bribe" based units. *points at the "Type" column*
