Hi all,

For any of you Linux/Ubuntu users out there, are there any essential programs/edits that you could recommend I do to make it as practical as possible for most webpages and files to work?

Eg: My most recent problem is that I've discovered hat I can't edit files on my external hard-drives , only view - but luckily I've found an edit where it makes it possible.

^^ That kind of thing.

Cheers guys! :)

If you get Firefox (think it's included?) you shouldn't really have any problems in accessing/viewing most webpages? It works the same across all platforms, with the exception of some keyboard shortcuts. I'd recommend you get VideoLan Client (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) which supports pretty much every worthwhile media format out there.

Haven't used Linux myself for years (except server versions) so I'm a bit rusty, but those two apps should get you started.
