Global Politics

I am a relatively new player, but i have noticed some bad things about the global politics. It is a helpful tool for alliances to communicate, but that is not what they use it for. I am not bashing any one alliance, but the players use it to warp the purpose and generate bad feelings. For the most part, this seems like a really friendly game and i am impressed by how nice everyone is, but when you read GP it adds a foil to the game. I don't mean to step on anyones toes, but i think it would be neat to have a thread like GP, but it is a place where you can only post war declarations and other necessary stuff.

Well, it's more for inter alliance politics. And alot of that stuff isn't generally nice. But be assured, me and the other staff do go through it and weed the worst out :)

i think the lies and propaganda are all part of the fun :)

if anyone is being offensive then that is out of the spirit of the game!

tbh, (and im not knocking you bobbin or the other "staff") but i dont think global pols is moderated anywhere near as much as it should be...

i think a stricter set of rules should be drawn up for gpols, like...it can only be used for war declarations, or ON TOPIC responses to a war (i.e BRs, and posts that are sensible (subjective i know, but i think we can all see that someone posting "wow, you've taken nearly half their land in a day...good going" is probably okay whereas "you're all a bunch of whining n00bs, massing us takes no skill...you suck balls" isnt))

overall i think global pols was the biggest waste of time ever (and still is)...it shouldnt exist...maybe instead of global pols there could be a link that simply shows war declarations (if an alliance chooses to post it)...so an alliance leader could go on, click "at war" type the alliance name...and then anybody else could go on there and see "oo, discworld is at war with desolation" or "ah, Desolation have admitted defeat against Discworld" etc.

but the main discussions should be on the forums IMO...that way there are more people moderating it...it encourages more to use the forums...and then everybody can respond...because tbh, in alot of cases it seems you go on there...(more often than not) see someone *****ing about your alliance and cant respond. Or it could go the other way and you see something really interesting that you have a valid response to but you cant.

But the idea of global pols is not just for war decs. It's for inter alliance politics. Between officers. Not for everyone to talk about.

Oh. And there are more people able to moderate global pols than are able to moderate the forums too :)

I agree Gpols are just a waste imo, i have only ever seen it being used for something usefull last round with the "noob" alliances but other than that its always a "anti-spy campaign" and "this alliance cheats/is attacking in a war game!" crap its just annoying thank god i don't have to read it though.

The thing i like about the GP is seed's posts. I only look at GP to read of their funny antics. Seed ftw :P
