The units bribed were those of the player you were attacking. Someone was 2 ticks behind you with Political Bribers and bribed the enemy's units. The only unit that died was your 1 man.

looks like someone was following you 2 ticks behind, if you see it says close and range at the side of the units fired. close was your tick (attacking for 1) and range was the other guys tick (attacking for 3)
