View Full Version : Problems accessing the IRC channel?

Due to a fairly serious virus spamming the channel, you can only join #bushtarion when logged in to P.

If you don't have a Netgamers user name, PM Darryl or another OP for an invite. This should only be temporarily - sorry for any inconvenience caused.

have registered but still not allowed in the room.

You'll need to be logged in when you try to join. It's best to put the login command in your perform, but if my memory serves me correctly, you use Tal Shiar? Pm me and I'll invite you.

Edit: Anyone who wants to join while we have +r set, simply PM me (I'll keep my nick as Darryl, and permanently connected, as long as we're forced to keep +r on) with !Invite, and you'll be invited automatically.

May i suggest that next time such thing happens we could maby get oview message about this all?
Also telling people how to pm someone as it clearly isnt common knownledge (/query nick) would help a lot.

Get Azzer to give ops the ability to adjust the overview message, and sure. Unfortunately he wasn't around for the duration of the outbreak, so a forum global announcement was the best we could do.

Point taken on the /query, however.

Weird cause even i was able to contact Azzer during this time. And i dont have any special methods and all. Im just poor guy from Finland.

oh ffs, seriously, darryl acknowledged your points. do you have to drive it home every freaking time? getting in contact and him being 'around' and 'available' for the game are 2 different things. main point is - IRC is there but is not necessary or a vital part of the game. it's a vital part of the community sure, but the game would go on without the room. so there was a problem for a few days. SO WHAT?! there are times i like you and then there are times i wish your parents had dropped you off a bridge.

I just think if even i can contact Azzer it means his more than just around. As you said yourself IRC means great deal to this community and as such it shouldnt be forgotten. If problems arise then those should be dealt with ASAP. I just dont think anyone did anything in this particular matter to try to get in contact with Azzer.

sorry for getting personal, I just didn't see the need for the continuation. I mean this would have been alot more relevant if the problem was still in existence. <3
