I like starcraft also, but Blizzard shouldn't change the game style to world of starcraft, for one the word world was used since its such a big game, starcraft has a kind of a quest mode but its not too great. They should stick to what the game was based upon RTS (Real Time Strategy) instead of making it a MMORPG. If you want a game like world of warcraft try out Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. It's a quest game like it but there are 3-4 levels of difficulty, Normal,Nightmare,Hell, and something else in there somewhere.

I think they made the game a little too flashy myself, as I saw Starcraft as being plain, and I liked the gameplay etc.
The only real graphics was at the startup of Starcraft.

I disagree entirely. It's a lot better for them to charge monthly fees to pay for the server than it is to incorporate the costs into the initial software purchase, for two main reasons.

Firstly, it means that the longer you play, the more you'll pay towards the server, which seems fair; why should someone who plays for 3 months pay the same as someone who plays for a year?

Secondly, it means that people can't just torrent the software and play the game free; they still need to pay the monthly fee.

Only exception i can think of is Guild Wars. And even so, WoW is far better...

I will never agree. Monthly payed games are not for me and for many others.
If you want to make good game that SUPPORTS multiplayer gaming and not only is made for such then that game should cost in store not every freaking month you want to play it with others.
Games like WoW etc are ruining reputation of games and are not for normal people. Those are games which you cant just remember you have somewhere and install and go have some fun. Or have at your comp for ages and get forgotten untill you notice you still have such.
I have player starcraft broodwar for years now and i still have it on my comp and i still occasinoally play it but i wouldnt have EVER even bought it if i would need to pay monthly of playing it.
And i wouldnt ever buy starcraft 2 yet due being satisfied customer of first part im thinking of buying 2nd one.

but to pay for the game. then pay to play. its a bit to rich for me. i know it costs money to keep a game uptodate. but i just dont like the thought of having to pay to play once you have BOUGHT the game.

anyway. sc 2 is not a MMO rpg thank god. its a stratergy game. and i would have prefered they kept it a very graphical 2d and didnt try and complicate it and make it 3d. so its easier to run at high speeds. and then those maps people make where you get endless spawning units would be possible for those on weaker connection. i just hope i dont need vista to play tyhis game. hell i dont even have xp. lol

I have also seen that each battle cruiser can be have his own special weapon now, some can have the old yamato gun but I saw that some have a new thing that fires at multiple ground enemies at the same time...

Also the teran has some new heavy ground unit that is actually so huge that you need an SCV to build it :o

Well, I heard it is planned to be released at the same date the original Starcraft was released, I don't know that date though. And as far as I know how Blizzard works, I am expecting atleast an year of delay from the officially announced release date :P

Blizzard are famous for releasing products "when it's ready". Thus the Nov 1st release date is merely any shop hoping to sell it, choosing a date and hoping it's far enough along that it will be right and allowing pre-orders for it.

It happened when The Burning Crusade was in development, there were shops having it on pre-order all through Novemeber and December, it was then released January 16th.

So unless you hear it from Blizzard, don't put any money on Nov 1st

No one will release games in June... xmas is best time to sell stuff an if your game is losing its ability to be put out on earlier xmas then it must be released on one after. So blizzard got the great idea to launch each race separately from each other. So basically you'll have Terran out first, with their story, then a year or so later one of the other two races... Word on the street is you have to pay for all of them.

Personally I think its pretty crappy paying 3x the amount to get the same damn game.

BAH HUMBUG! I am a bit annoyed that Blizzard would put up a website filled with goodies and then leave us hanging. They have posted character renderings, unit renderings, and even whole matches, but they still don't have a release date. WTF?!?!?!?

ah well, <3 blizzard anyway. They are probably making sure the game is 99.99999% perfectly balanced before they release it. Though in my opinion, they should release it, then (just like the first starcraft) use the entire player group as feedback and fix things with patches as time goes on.

There was a time when I would of gone straight out and bought it, but right now I'm undecided. In the last couple months I have lost all interest in computer games.

Every one Ive bought has just been a disappointment. Farcry 2 got bored after an hour(exaggeration), nothing was wrong with the gameplay, but come on anyone could write a better story than, Go kill some arms dealer, Im sure there must of been more to it than that but the game couldn't hold my attention long enough to get to it.

Deadspace wasn't expecting much from it tbh it was ok just not anything to get excited about, really an action game with mutants replacing the standard army goons you normally fight. I hate It when they call games like that horror.

Dawn of War soulstorm, horrible single player, multiplayer kept me going for a couple days. I remember i loved DoW when It first came out (before I had the Internet so no multiplayer). Really they could of tried to cobble a story together.

I also played stalker clear sky on a friends PC, a full 10 minutes before I called It quits. It was excruciatingly painful. Brothers in Arms - Hell's Highway doesn't even deserve a mention it was that bad.

In fact CoD4 was the last game I actively enjoyed mainly because It was a refreshing break from WW2

Then again Blizzard is the one company (excluding value) that haven't let me down yet. Even so I won't be holding my breath partly because they will most likely shamelessly delay it until I am 30. I truly hope it saves me from all this sea of mediocrity I currently find myself in.

There is option to play without breaking rules, DS didnt want to use it, he even tried to fool me to play one on one when I ensisted it to be melee.
