Alright you damn n00bs, if you haven't noticed that [Recruiting] sign in from of your threads then please do. It means that your ally is still recruiting. No need to post thousands of times that your ally is still looking for members.

I have said of this to 3 different mods. Nothing has been done.
Even rules clearly states that alliances are allowed to update their thread maximum of once a week and only in case they ahve something relevant to update.

Alliance Recruitment:
14.1 - This forum is for recruitment purposes only. Each alliance is allowed one active thread per round, and no bumping is allowed.
14.2 - Relevant news updates for your alliance will be accepted, but no more than one every week.

meh, this is one of the few rules i don't agree entirely with.

either allow any bumping or don't allow it.(and with don't I mean actually no post, not from people who would want to join, empathise with the leader, disagree with the leader or whatever)

just a clean post.

In some cases it is fine as an alliance can update their thread by saying:

"Another spot opened up, PM me with details"

and then change their thread pre-fix to "Recruiting". This way they can put specific info if relevant, such as "Looking for a pom player only" or..."Looking for an active euro player" etc...and they can specify how many members they need.

This I agree 100%
Either no "This is uber alliance join this" stuff at all both "join this alliance" or "dont join this alliance" (Unlike one mod who thinks positive is good negative is not) at all.
or
Then everything is allowed and we are back to square one of things.

Must say to this negative stuff too that I dont understand why someone is allowed to post to some alliances recruitment how awesome alliance that is and other are not allowed to post facts like "this alliance has 3 wings and is killing the game with their power block, join if you like to play that way"

Keep all flames and personal comments out of this thread, stay on topic

Blackwolf, i really dont understand why you cant understand that a friendly "This ally is really fun, id recommend it to any new players" (or something similar) is allowed while "This alliance is ruining the game, the leader spreads nothing but lies and has no honour" is not. Quite simply comments such as that are blatent flames.

Azzer has already said that people posting their support is allowed in recruitment threads while negative comments are not. I dont know why you are still going on about it...?

Don't be such a hypocrit.
Your recruitment thread has 3 extra posts bumping it.
I find it annoying but instead of worrying about it I just don't look in the recruitment section.

You can check the exact times of those and they were exactly 1 week apart. Untill last one which I start by saying if others bumb then I bumb.

xIn case we do not allow bumbing of posts then it means supportive posts too. And if those are left there becuase of feedback reasons then also negative feedback must be allowed to be given. What is in that so hard for you to understand? That either such posts are bumbing or they are feedback of leader/group and feedback cant only be positive.

Okay, quite simply. Feedback posts are allowed on recruitment thread...but only Positive feedback is allowed. Negative feedback is simply flaming and therefore breaking the rules.

Until informed otherwise

No one has ever told you that all feedback is positive... even the negative one?

As far as the "issue" of recruitment threads themselves. The prefix is a quick "instant scan" of who is or is not currently recruiting, but bumping when a new spot opens up will move your thread to the top - which given that it's "new news", seems appropriate.

I'm fine with bumping as long as it doesn't get over the top or become stupid - a couple of bumps a week or a handful of "news updates" a week seems fine. It would have to be taken in context and a moderator would have to make a call on whether an individual was blatantly just being troublesome with bumps (ie rubbing it in "Well just because they bumped I will too!" - these sorts of forum users really annoy me on a personal level) or whether the thread's fine.

As for the "This alliance is great join it!" from other members, I think this is good. It helps keep a positive vibe and atmosphere on the forums, which is a good thing.

Allowing posts like "This alliance is crap they SPY!!! OMGZ!!!" is not a positive thing (whether it's truthful or not), and unlike positive comments, these sorts of posts can be considered in breach of flame/troll rules (there are no rules against posting positive compliments, afterall :)).
