Pirates Of The Burning Sea MMO

It's out very soon - in fact people that pre-ordered are in the "headstart" two weeks pre-launch from 7th Jan.

It's basically "Sid Meier's Pirates!", but in fully 3D MMO form. I loved Pirates! and from my (very brief) stint in the beta for the Burning Sea, I've really enjoyed it.

Just wondering if anyone else here will be getting it, and if so, what nation are you going to play!? I've been playing as a pirate in the beta but will probably stay with the British empire on release (and will be playing on one of the "historical" EU servers).

I'm ashamed to say I hadn't even heard of this game until I saw this post...

But my first impressions are that it looks ****ing awesome! (Then again I also loved Pirates!). I'll deffinatly be giving it a go.

Remarkably, a long long time ago I signed up to be a Beta Tester, and I recently got an email asking me to be in the Open Beta test. Unfortunately I've been rather busy recently, so haven't been able to, but it's mighty tempting to sign up and have a go. :)

I bought the game, but I cant play it, I need a better graphics card. If you buy it make sure your graphics card has hardware vertex shader support. My card only has a software version. Although all my other specs work out, I cant play... So thats $50 down the drain

I dont know, I just had to use the FAQ on POtB to figure out why mine wouldnt work
