Welcome to one of my very smal Suggestions. Their a rare breed so ill cut to the chase and only offer a smal reasoning for the suggestion.

The Suggestion:
Currently Inteligence Scans are very easy to use, i want to keep this. But Everyone who has played the game for some time knows that Inteligence is a vital part of any alliance's sucess. During times of war Scans are often made of entire alliances to "prepare for attacks" but today there arent any big chances of our inteligence reports being seen. In order for players or alliances to be able to get some time to posibiliy prepare i want to suggest that the following template gets added:

% Chance of Inteligence Scan going unnoticed: 67%
% Chance of Inteligence scan being noticed: 33% (This means ID of Scanner and What scan is revealed to target)

Currently the ratio of being seen is much smaler then this. By increasing this up to this level it offers the game a smal element of counter inteligence. Its possible to figure out who is planing strikes on you (not impossible today either but its a smal feature im suggesting so not meant to do big changes) The main reason is early on its possible to indetefy scanners easier, aswell as easier getting a headsup on possible incomming, instead of having to check how many times youve been scanned every few ticks, a roundabout way.

I like it. 33% might be too much though, maybe around 25%, ie catch 1 scan out of 4? Only 'problem' is that you'd get news far more often. :P

and as long as we are on the subject of counter intelligence... maybe the % to get caught depends on the level of intel devs that the intended target has? wouldn't play so integral to mid/late round, but most allies have only a handful of people rush intel... so gives those a small boost until your victims catch up in intel as well?

not a bad suggestion.

Could also add the option, that when u look long at a Hax0r of a target ID, the bigger the chance of getting traced! since u leave the 'line' open. So the scientist/computer g33ks at ur base have more time tracing it?

I agree with the original suggestion; it would mean alliances woud be more restricted in how many times they rescan their targets before launching.

Elderved: I can see the logic, but every seasoned player would then directy copy it out to a notepad, and the only players youd ever catch would be newbies, putting hem at a further diadvantage without any real benefit to the game.

I like the original suggestion as well, but just for the sake of knowing who is hacking/spying you, not because it will help that much to prepare defence. I can always fake a preparation for an attack, if you know what I mean.
