we dnt want another version of the ledgends where no one has a chance at getting to the top...
What game were you playing last round?
Top 5 Final Government Valued Alliances
Rank: Name: Title: Led By: Members: Acres: Value:
1 Legends Villainous Rama 20 849,223 £2,285,155,037,196
2 Canes_Pugnaces Reputable Blackwolf 20 430,360 £471,830,057,618
3 No_Credits Infamous brianwil 20 297,540 £452,467,993,917
4 Panoply Respectable Max 20 185,668 £134,825,335,244
5 Retarted Proper Garrett 19 169,819 £92,940,784,395
as you can see legends were over 4 times the size of canes...
this is what i was meaning their gov V not a-points...
The final rankings don't reflect what happened in the whole round.
thrue they dont reflect the whole round but once the round got going they were unstopable in vog valueation taking down most people they could that fell in range of them, in other score rankings they didnt do so well,
but in valuation they were unstopable and were never gunna be caught upto by any alliance that played the game last round...

There were probably 4 other alliances that had a chance of winning last round.
Legends started off as rank 1.
They got killed and were replaced by NC.
They got killed and were replaced by Retarted.
They got killed and were replaced by Panoply.
They got killed and were replaced by Legends.
Any of those alliances could've won it. Just because Legends did win, doesn't mean the others couldn't have won.
Split from another topic - seems more interesting than a 'keep on topic' comment. ;)

yea other alliances had their chance but from about half way through there was too much firepower in legends
if you look at score camparisons when tthe round was being played they still had a massive score advantage over most other alliances

Someone always has to win ffs. OMG someone won the round! Big suprise. Last round was one of the closest for quite a while, and quoting alliance scores after the wars is just dumb. Everyone had fought themselves to the death by then, apart from Legends.

obviously someone has to win but it wasnt that close, at some points in the round it was close but getting to the last few weeks it was a definate win for legends...

If you look at the final rankings for all the previous rounds, you'll see that one alliance pulls far away from the rest every round, and infact last round was closer than most. People have been making suggestions for years on how to keep the fight for rank 1 valutaion open til the end of the round, so a quick fix this round is not going to happen.

Last round was the closest round since round 20. There were plenty of wars, lots of dying, lots of position-switching, and lots of politics. So eventually Legends won...big deal. It took a lot longer for them to win than SOTB, Ashes, and TRFC from the previous three rounds. It was a GOOD round. Personally I would be pretty happy if this round turned out to be another Legends round.
Now stop whinging, and accept defeat.

It took Legends around half the round to secure the top spot. That's a hell of a lot longer than the week it usually takes. As Toby said, there was plenty of opportunity for other alliances to win.

... was that your first round or somethign? I didn't even play and even I knew it was a closer round than SotB, Ashes, or most of the previous rounds.
a win secured by mid-round is late usually. R18 was a win within 3-4 days. Other rounds before have been like that too. SotB was a win within a week. Ashes i think within a week or two. TRFC... same.

well so much for a discussion about round 24. it was a fun round full of ups and downs.
sam as a part of rena, you can't count the differences between that round and last round?
