Well atm solo's have no advantages left except the AR, so i was thinking at least allow them to find a pnap a bit easyer.
So maybe there could be an ingame sort of global politics but just for solo companies where you can post using your nickname if you are looking for a pnap, what's your timezone and activity and prefered route to pnap you. Maybe automate thread removal once the solo that opened the topic has 2 pnaps filled and/or the first poster allowed to delete his thread once he found a pnap.

concur.

i've always thought people should be able to delete their own threads on gpols as well, but meh....

as evidenced by many people and including some gpols in game last round... there are active players that just avoid the forums (these possibly being some of the smartest people in the game ;) ) and only pay attention to gpols and some newbie who may not know if they are going to be here any length of time may not care enough to set up a forum id and ask around...

please don't let my endorsement deter this from happening :D

Solo's perhaps, but don't forget that a "regular" solo is really seen by the game as somebody that simply happens to not be in an alliance atm. A pure solo, however, does get other benefits;

A Pure Solo benefits from:
* All development times have an automatic 10% reduction in their ETA's.
* All mobs return 1 ETA quicker (to a minimum of 1 ETA).
* Injured units return 6 ETA quicker.
* 5% more injured units than normal.
* It is a little easier to get anti-rape defence compared to a normal solo, especially at larger land levels.

Small bonus, a developement that would take 150 ticks it's done in 135. So instead 25 hours just 22.5. You still have to gather the same amount of money while saving your ass with a much smaller total defence availeble for you. The average solo player at round start has less acres than the average allianced player i think, so just the small eta bonus it's just slightly helping psolo's with the very first 1-2 route developements to hopefully save 1-2 grabs. With the more expensive devs they are left behind as they can't hold too well on their acres.

Good bonus :D

You can't talk abount injury and say it helps psolo's in the current system. A few rounds back solo's had 20% insurance availeble instantly in cash while allianced players had none. Now from 60% for an allianced player to a 65% for a psolo only in case of self defending it's not really worth talking about, and the 12 ticks delay it's anything else but not a bonus ;)

* It is a little easier to get anti-rape defence compared to a normal solo, especially at larger land levels.

Good bonus, but only helps large psolo's.

So the only good bonuses are -1 eta and the calc for land score. The -1 eta doesn't make you stronger but it's convenient to save some time and the other bonus it really helps, but only if you have quite a few acres :)

And how about the suggestion in the end ? :D

Maybe a solo/pure solo IRC chat room would work better. No need to give out IDs until you've met a few people and are fairly confident they're trustworthy. Otherwise its another feature that could be abused (finding out solo ID's). This would also give solos a chance to meet people, as it is quite a lonely game for most of them :(

Every round there's at least one Psolo group who's working together, and they seem to be doing fine most of the time. ;)

To be honest, with the Injury system, it seems very hard to take down a 'high-ranked' p-solo: IF you manage to kill him, he'll get 60% of his troops back and his AR will be maxed out. Before his AR drops enough to hit him again, he'd have as much troops as he had the first time you hit him. I really think Solos are strong enough as it is now, even if they have it hard at the start of the round. Oh, and the recruitment forum works for Psolos searching Pnaps, too.

But what about all the poor loner Solos who have no fwends? Your right there does seem to be a strong group of Pure solos(whether these are Multi accounts is debatable), but what has been suggested may not neccesarily benefit them as they are already networked. Yes it might start more groups like this, but is that really a bad thing?

So you forget the 12 ticks of free land even if the solo manages to get online ? It's not that hard to take a high ranked solo is it now ?

Oh, and it works for alliances too, but they still have an ingame system to help.

I could counter your argument with the simple fact that before Injury was implemented, you *had* to be online to spend up again to not get 'raped' or called free land. Now, if you are if you are sound asleep, at work/school whatever, you'll have troops again in 2 hours. So yeah, there's up and down sides to it.

Yes, alliances have in-game recruitment, but alliances need 18 members, solos only 2 pnaps. Alliances tend to recruit way more than a Psolo, who usually has only a couple of different pnaps throughout the round. I'm not against your suggestion at all, I just think it's not that needed. If you think it will be used a lot and benefit Solos to find pnaps, why not? ;)
